Maximuss

We have been fortunate to acquire one of the most extraordinary young stallions in the breed, Maximuss!

 Maximuss was the  2004 United States National Champion Futurity Colt . . .  Phenotypically, Maximuss is our perfect horse, excitement personified, with all of the qualities that matter most to us. But even beyond this, his genotype is fabulous. Out of a granddaughter of the magnificent *Padron, he carries the blood of  American foundation greats *Serafix and Raffon.

The true test of a stallions merit, no matter how beautiful he may be, is his success as a breeding sire.

Maximuss, at just five years of age, is already following in the hoof prints of his incredible sire line . . . from *Padron, to Padrons Psyche, to Magnum Psyche, and now Maximuss . . . a fourth generation in a truly rare heritage of greatness.

The first and second foal crop! by Maximuss exhibits amazing consistency in the attributes of huge eyes and nostrils, short heads, pronounced dishes, extreme refinement, long legs and free motion. His early performance as a breeding sire is beyond our wildest dreams!

We have been fortunate to acquire one of the most extraordinary young stallions in the breed, Maximuss!

We cant wait to see what he gives us all in the future.

Great stallions are rare;

Great stallions come from generations of careful selection and the mating of only the best with the best. Beneath the work of human hands and minds and dedication is the gift of Divine Providence that brings it all into being.

In the modern world of the Arabian horse, even less common than a stallion's individual greatness are those occasions when the son of a reigning monarch is given the opportunity to prove his own importance, to create his own dynasty.

Maximuss is that result.

Right out of the shoot, Maximuss is proving his own exceptional merit and is taking his place among the great stallions of the Arabian breed.

"From the beginning, all the great horseman who saw him new that he was special, that he was born to be great among others. Maximuss is almost a rebirth of *Padron himself," says David Boggs, "his exotic type and fiery sprit and king of the hill attitude bring my soul back to the days of showing *Padron."

The chain of events that brought Maximuss into the world began in earnest during the 19th century, when the founders of the Arabian breed began importing horses from Egypt, Poland and the Arabian Desert to England, Spain and the United States.

The greatest and most pre potent of those horses set the standards, carried the dreams, and established the foundation upon which the modern Arabian breed developed.

Finally, history can and does repeat itself. Today, as in the past, there are people whose love for and dedication to the Arabian horse ensures the breed's continuance. Therein lies the hope of the future.

As fate would have it, Maximuss, who came from a dynasty of great horses, found his way into the hearts and care of owners who are determined to give him the best possible opportunity to make his own contribution to the breed. Greg and Veronica Cowdrey are passionate about Arabian horses; and they are dedicated to carrying on in the *Padron tradition through Maximuss . At the heart of their endeavors is the goal of creating an Arabian horse that emulates those from which today's finest horses are descended.

Says Veronica on this subject: "It is our hope and dream that one day we might be remembered in the company of such great American breeders as Dr. Eugene LaCroix, John Rogers, Jay and Dorothy Stream, Daniel C. Gainey,. . . and the Boggs family. Toward that end, we seek the advice of such respected modern breeders as Roxanne Hart , Pola Levy, David Boggs."

"Through exceptional people," Veronica goes on, "we've learned which qualities are most valued in the Arabian horse and what lines most consistently produce these qualities to develop our own preferences and to refine our own breeding program."
